Our Story

In 1988, local accounting firm DiFilippo & Company (started in 1970 by Jim "Fish" DiFilippo) started processing payroll due to the large volume of headaches, errors and issues the clients were having while processing their own payroll. The IRS and States Departments of Revenue letters and fines that the firm was asked to deal with due to the errors was so overwhelming that offering an inexpensive alternative to the farming community seemed like an opportunity to help friends and clients to make life easier so the firm could concentrate on small business advice and taxes.

The small payroll service soon out-grew its software and in 1995 an upgrade in software to Payroll Associates' "Paychoice" was undergone and a full-fledged service bureau was born, still as a side offering to DiFilippo & Company CPAs. Since the company was located in the heart of the "Mushroom Capital of the World" and a large portion of the clientele were in the mushroom and agricultural support industries where migrant workers were common, a niche was carved out and the company excelled at complex, multistate and service intensive payrolls.

In 2005 a switch was made to Execupay software further expanding the company's offerings for employers and their employees, and the name Perfect Payrolls was bestowed upon the bureau and it was separated from DiFilippo & Company CPAs. As all endeavors progress, Perfect Payrolls eventually outgrew their software and in the summer of 2025 a switch to I-Solved software was undertaken, a move that once again improves the offerings and services available to the company's clientele.

In light of the new technologies available, it was decided to rebrand the company to better reflect the increased services offered and the intended focus of the company. We still offer Perfect Payrolls, but the focus from 1988 forward was always about Human Resources (HR), Employers (ER) and Employees (EE)….. HEER was officially born!
